"And when the clock strikes midnight, Cinderella..."

"...coach will turn back into a pumpkin."

OK, not really. But at midnight EST -- that's 9:00pm for those of us on the West Coast -- voting will officially end for this year's Jewish and Israeli Blog Awards.

So if my blog moves you, then vote for me. And if not, vote for someone whose words inspire you!

I'm so confused. It's not even Friday yet. Besides, doesn't voting end on Thursday?

Voting ends on Thursday on the stroke of midnight EST, which is really Friday So I figured I'd postdate this so that it stays up until the voting is over.

It's totally confusing for those of us living in real-time.

Could you tell me how you can have so many votes....when it appears you have zero readership.....judging by your lack of comments.

I also noticed you had votes subtracted from your total.

Are you stuffing the ballot box?

Comments are not an accurate measure of readership, thank goodness! A site meter is. Feel free to click on it in order to get a sense of the number of hits that I am getting. Many of my readers comment privately to me. I'm not sure why they choose to do so. I think it is more fun for them to comment directly on the blog.

As for ballot-stuffing, I think that is a fairly pointed accusation. I know that a few of my readers have asked me about this issue insofar as they figured that the program would only allow the vote box to appear when the program itself evaluated the IP as eligible to vote. To the best of my knowledge, no one is intentionally voting unethically in my favour.

I don't blog in order to win awards. I write because I believe that I have important things to say and the blog makes it easier to reach a wider audience.

Thanks for reading!

I can't believe how calm you are. Um, hi, I just dropped by an dwant to know if you are a cheater. Um . . . you're cheating, right? Plus, you have no friends. [Give up your guns or die.] You know what, anonymous? Damn your lies; you'll see the people rise.
